main street theatre camp

continuing with our busy, busy weekend...friday was also the babies' last day at main street theatre.  they went to a 2 week camp where they sang songs, wrote their own play (even getting to choose their own parts), making costumes, and performing it for us.  emily was the butterfly in the play, "once upon a castle" (or something like that).

first they showed us some of their favorite warm ups.  mine was lion (roar!) and ladybug (teet teet teet).

the play was about a queen and princess who lost their crowns.  and the fluttering butterfly who found them!  "what beautiful crowns!"

someone must have lost them, so "i will put them on top of the castle to keep them safe."
everyone was a suspect, and no one knew what happened to them.

until superhero cheetah, who only does good, and her friend the butterfly came to play.

and led the queen, princess, and their friends to the crowns!
(how do you like butterfly's costume?  em came home with a note that week saying she needed to wear 'a long dress with flowers on it (she said she had one)" and butterfly wings.  ha.  of course she would volunteer to wear this dress.  i hate it and never let her wear it).

despite knowing all of her lines and delivering them perfectly, i could tell em did not like being the center of attention.  and just like her mamma when o was nervous as a child, em twirled her hair the whole time.

everyone came to cheer the babies on (aaron was the crocodile in the dinosaur suit and dylan was a ninja- see them above on the left?).  even aunt monkey, who used to work at MST back in the day, and uncle allangator came.  they brought em some beautiful roses, too.

but em was a grump and refused to talk to anyone, let alone pose for photos.  so this is all we have.  look at that sweet face :)
