can you believe our first baby is 5?! (if you talk to me at all, you'll know that i refer to all my nephews as my babies, too). dylan turned 5 on tuesday, but we celebrated with friends on saturday. at chuck e cheese. i tried to talk him out of it, but he said he really, really wanted to go in the ticket blaster. (poor kid came out empty handed, too).

later that day, we went to the circus! i thought the circus was supposed to be full of scary clowns, little people, freaky people, and smelly animals, so i never had any desire to go. i went for the first time last year and it was awesome! i don't know that this year's circus was better, but it was still pretty good.
am i the only one who thinks of fraternity hazing when i see the elephants walk?
on another equally gross note, aaron and em decided that the best part of the circus was seeing the elephants poop.
the human cannon ball. on fire. (in other words, what a dumbass. who would do that?!)
my silly girl. her blue lips and tongue are from the snowcone she had. and because she fell asleep in the car on the way home that night, she had blue lips in the morning, too.
she'd smile and then right when the camera would take, she would make a face :)

on sunday, we went to see the lion king! it was ah-maz-ing. here are some of my contraband pics inside the theater.
and the last pic from my iphone dump is this. i show this for 2 reasons: (1) i loved her outfit, and (2) the sunglasses. she is getting really great at pedaling and steering her bike. it's definitely time for an upgrade to a big girl one soon.
