this was not tanner's first rodeo. i remember his very first easter, 11 years ago, so vividly. he was a little puppy and he ran figure 8s around the apartment looking for easter eggs. we had hidden food (he used to be a big eater) and biscuits in them. it took him no time to break them open. he still does the same thing today.
he was waiting for emily to wake up.
not sure why this is sideways, but you can still see that the easter bunny left a trail from his cotton tail.
the stuffed animals on the left are tanner's and the basket is emily's (obviously).
the first thing emily asked when she woke up was whether the easter bunny came to visit. she was so excited!
see that purple thing on the left? that's a tutu dress. the same one i was eyeing from chasing fireflies one night. "look, mommy! the easter bunny brought me the same dress you were looking at!" i better be more careful next year.

it was emily's first time in sunday school. she cried at first but ended up loving it. they decorated these sweet vases. i will keep it forever, i'm sure.
next up, dylan's house! the easter bunny left some goodies at our house for him.

the kids came racing downstairs when we told him that it looked like the easter bunny had stopped by AGAIN!
waiting patiently. em is about to jump because we had said, "say 'jump froggie!'" (just like what they said for their school pictures)

emily only wanted the lady bug eggs. or the sparkly ones.
but the highlight of the afternoon were these- cascarones!
