she got her nails done!

that's what em has been telling everyone. i was initially going to wait until her 3rd birthday, but this weekend, i took her with me for her first real mani/pedi. (this is also the first time she's ever had her fingernails painted). she still hasn't stopped talking about it. she chose purple, of course. (she also found a darker purple, which honestly, would have been prettier, but i explained that the darker colors were only for grown ups. she was fine with this and told me she'd like the lighter purple that was for kiddos). i could not believe what a good girl she was. i guess she's used to being pampered :o).

she came to sit with me after she was done and wanted to put her toes on the footrest, too.

(and just so i can look back at this years later and compare, it only cost $6. but for that smile? i'd pay anything).
