happy halloween!

"trick or treat, pell my feet, give me something good to eat...PLEASE!" em has been practicing that line for at least a week. and the costume? we've had it since about august. which is why i completely forgot that it came with wings. so poor em was a wingless tinkerbell.

these pics are from the pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago. they were low on pumpkins and we were low in enthusiasm thinking we'd go back again later in the week when they restocked. we did not. so our pumpkin patch pics suck.

i am not sure who she's glaring at, but it makes me laugh.

here are the treats we made for em's orange day party at school. she also picked out sticker books for each of her friends. it's amazing how particular (and thoughtful) she already is.

she was such a big girl that evening! and she remembered to say thank you at each house.

we made an impromptu stop by grandma and grandpa's house after meeting up with dylan and the rest of the gang. they were very happy to see her, and she them.

the next morning, i asked her if she had a fun night and what all she did. her response, "i went to my grandma and grandpa's house." i was recently told that when asked, kids will usually answer what was most important to them. (e.g., "what did you do at school today?" "i just played."). how cute is that?!
