since we live in texas, and have friends and family who travel to mexico somewhat often, we always have cute dresses to wear on this 5th day of may.
this particular morning, d participated in the annual texas lone star stampede.
waiting for daddy to finish. look at that bruise on her cheek! nearly 2 weeks later (as i write this post) and it's still here.
emily's cousins came to do the kids' run, too. so naturally, emily decided she needed to run as well. nevermind that she had on a denim skirt.
nearing the finish line! (it wasn't until we got home that i realized that in the background was a sorority sister of mine! i probably have not seen her since about 2002? at my friend elsa's wedding. so sad i missed seeing leigh ann!)

so very proud of herself. they got goodie bags and a medal upon finishing.
later that night, we headed down to clear lake for cousin shay's birthday party. emily loves hanging out with her "big cousins."
