this was my first time at the circus. it was nothing like i had thought. it was so much better and not at all weird :). em went last year with ms. monika with the nose ring, so it wasn't all new to her. in fact, when i was so amazed (at the motorcylces in the dome), she said, "i saw that last year." like, it's not a big deal lady.

popcorn. the only reasonably priced thing at the circus ($2.50), other than that tickets themselves.
the $12 cotton candy came with this lovely hat.
i don't know that i'll ever see elephants in a line together and not think of fraternity hazing, but this was pretty cute.
on the way out, we ran into one of my very oldest friends. cynthia and i have known each other since we were 7 years old. we've gotten married and had babies since we last saw each other (oh, 10 or 11 years ago), so it was really nice to see her and meet her family. her little girl halle is 5 and was about the size as em, lol. so cute.
