i sort of let father's day go by this year without making much of a fuss about it. but that's not to say that i did not stop to really give thanks for fact that my father is still here with us this year. he's 72 years old and fought stage 4 lymphoma like a champ. that's 6 rounds of in patient chemo and 15 rounds of radiation. but (!) we just got his first follow up test results post treatment, and there are no active cancer cells! (he still has a residual tumor, but it's inactive (?) so they will just monitor). this last year has been extremely difficult on my family for various reasons, and i cannot be more hopeful and thankful that things are finally looking up. sooo, the significance of father's day was not lost on me this year, despite my lack of enthusiasm and pictures.

since this post is already late and i'm lazy, i didn't stop to find a picture of my dad. happy father's dad/grumpy/ong/grandpa. we love you!
