i have really started loving mother's day. not because it's all-about-me-day at our house, but because being a mom is my most favorite thing in the whole world.
no way could i celebrate today without being soo thankful for this smiley girl above. and for tanner. and donnie, of course. (p.s. i could die over how she is tilting her head toward me in this pic. love.)
this is what she made at sunday school this morning. i love it. (another post script- i never thought i'd be the kind to love everything just because my child made it. i totally am that person).
not posted are a bracelet that em made for me at school, a painted pouch from school (because they sent that home with aaron instead and i haven't gotten it yet), and a "slipper" that em painted at mad potter (because truth be told, i haven't gotten it yet. someone forgot to pick it up and em let the surprise slip, lol).
as usual, we forgot to pose for any family pics this morning. but we got this one after we got home and i love it all the same.
the only picture i have from our mother's day celebration. it's these kiddos that make today so special to us. (and what is going on with the color of em's hair in this one?)
can't end this post without a shout out to my mom- the most amazing woman i've ever known. and my sister- who is a fantastic mother and auntie. and lynda- ditto. and em's grandmother, aunt misty, and my 5 friends who read this blog. finally, we can't forget about h.g., em's honorary grandmother, who loves and cares for emily as if she were her own grandbaby. we love you all!
