countdown to easter, part 2

em had a fun filled thursday (mine was mostly exhausting, with a little bit of fun, lol)!  it started out with an easter egg hunt with a bunch of friends from school.  sadly, the only pictures i got were these two:

talulah (and, yay, just found out that she'll be going to school with em next year!  she'll be in pre-k, but hopefully they will still get to see each other).
like last year, our princess was very picky about the eggs that she hunted.  she wanted sparkly ones.  or sports ones- for her cousins.  and pink and purple ones, of course.

after the big hunt, we headed to the galleria for some shoe shopping.  em got 3 pairs.  i got "none pairs", as em would put it.  we also had a fun mother-daughter lunch date at nordstrom.  that might have been my favorite part of the day.

then we headed home so i could get some work done, since technically i was working from home and not off (shhh!), and em caught up on some cartoons.

now onto our princess and superhero party!

she went as "rapunzeled" with her own version of a braid (and rapunzel high heels that ms. brittany gave her!  i let her wear these only because i knew they would come off as soon as we got to the place).
smiley girl!
aaron's mommy did not dress him up.  note to self- must buy superhero costumes for this boy.
i'm not sure who tron is, but i think that's who dylan was.
way too much fun was had on the super slide.  lesson learned- follow directions or get hurt.  "spiderman told us one at a time."  not sure if it was aaron's head or heel that got her in the cheek, but she was left with a little green bruise.  (btw, we had to lose the dress as it was totally in the way)

i don't think it bothered her as much as she liked the cool ice pack.  she held it up to her cheek as she listened to the "band."  i just love how sweet her face looks in these pics.

of course she needed her face painted.  what princess does not have flowers on her face?

crazy monkeys ;)

(can you see aaron's tiger face?  he is a tiger almost everytime he visits this place)

this is mira.  she is so cute!

as if that wasn't enough, we all went out to dinner after this.  em, aaron, and mira decided to hold hands and sing ring around the rosie for a good 20 minutes.  yes, they all fell down, too.  multiple times.  in the middle of the restaurant.  as mira's dad put it, "i would hate us."  i could not have said it better!
