em's princess (crown) birthday!

if you ask emily what kind of party she had, she will tell you she had a purple princess crown party. everything was purple- the invites, napkins, plates, plastic wear, table cloths, her dress and bow, balloons, cookies, and cake. some things were princess- like her cake and presents. and everything was perfect!
her celebrations actually started the friday before her birthday weekend. yes, we celebrated all weekend. on friday, she and her classmate chase had a birthday party at school. they had juice, cupcakes, cookies, and balloons! i think this was the first party where the kids got balloons, and they were so excited.

naturally, she had to have a purple cupcake (to go with her purple shirt and cardi, of course).

she was so proud of her crown (aka tiala)

since we had emily's party at wonderwild, there was very little that i had to do to prepare for her party. it was sooo nice. once there, i didn't have to do anything either. they assigned me 2 party helpers who set everything up and, even better, they cleaned up and packed our cars for us.

em told me after the party that the lady didn't give her any of the candy balls. i was so sad because she had wanted one as soon as she saw her cake. i wish she would have said something to me sooner. hopefully things were better when i let her have another "candy stripe."

her favors that said, "thanks for celebrating my 3rd birthday with me!" we included pretzel memes and some sugar cookies that had various decorations, such as emily, the number 3, and a sparklie princess crown.

this is her party room. can you believe i purchased so much purple?!

haha, she looks pissed, which actually, is quite the appropriate response. her crown was not pretty. how the heck does a face painter not know how to draw a crown or anything princess?!

the face painter's butterfly wasn't much better. em was sooo happy her cousin shaylea could come to celebrate with her. it was a great surprise!

the two were inseparable most of the day.

the birthday girl!
can't believe she sat still for a picture!
my cutest little tiger
i love this picture. click on it to see em's face. shaylea was teaching her how to do toe touches.

love this picture, too. the pink butterfly is talulah, em's "best friend." and in the blue is sweet katelyn. she is so great with the little ones.

"mommy, do you have ms. wendi's phone number? i want to play with talulah." we hear this almost everyday.

talulah isn't her only friend. here are some of the others who came to celebrate with her. (sorry if i missed you!)

baby aubrey

baby mira

andrew

jackie (katelyn's sister)

dylan!

co jackie and amanda

co nina and brady. i didn't get a pic of his twin bailey :(

auntie tina and tway

ong and ba. and yes, ba, you look pretty.

so glad d captured the few moments i had with em at her party. she was telling me it was the best birthday and that she was having so much fun. aww!

"mommy, everyone sang happy birthday to me but i didn't sing because it was MY birthday."

our family picture. lol, look at nina's face in the background!

so thankful there is some baby left to her. she still has her wrist rolls and dimples on her fingers. i love those!

miss brittany

after her wonderwild party, we went to cousin aaron's house to celebrate ba's, daddy's, and emily's birthdays. uncle todd smoked a yummy brisket, and i made strawberry princess cupcakes (daddy likes those, too).

cinderella had to be in the picture, too.

another picture that i really like. i am not sure what was so amusing, but it put smiles on all of us. i think trey was making a purple emerald bracelet for the birthday girl. and tina may have just woken up from the looks of her hair. hehe.

my (obviously) homemade princess cupcakes (that no one ate. probably for good reason).

and this is how we ended the night. soo funny!

thanks, everyone, for celebrating with us!
