em's first haircut!

so what do you think?

a little birdie (aka aunt misty) told emily that if she trimmed her hair just a tiny bit, it would grow long like rapunzel's. i was so happy she finally agreed to her first haircut. but as we pulled into the parking lot, i was having second thoughts. then emily told me, "mommy, i'm not going to cry." i had to tell her that i just might and she asked why. "because you are growing up so fast and i'm just not ready." then she told me she was a big girl and she was not growing up too fast.

when we got there, there was a child screaming hysterically. great. em thought he was nuts, and i was afraid that she would get scared and want to leave. she sort of did, i could tell. but she stuck it out and was so good.

tah dah! the hairdresser used this tiny curling iron on her. her hair looked much better once those curls fell. but sadly, her natural curls are gone and it makes me soo sad. we cut about 2.5-3 inches off, but her hair is still a good length.

oh, and after we were done, she told people that there was a little boy there that was crying so much "and i couldn't watch my movie!" haha.
