em's first nightgown

today was ms. brittany's last day until after the new year, so she took em to see tangled. (em's 2nd time). em fell fast asleep. (she has refused to nap pretty much all school year, so every m,w,f we get a very tired and very fussy little girl). when they got home, em was still not happy. (she's like me. i'm grumpy for a good hour (or 3) after i wake up, lol). it was time to exchange christmas gifts. em was a little confused since it wasn't christmas yet, but she quickly got over it when she opened her first gift to find that britt had given her a set of all the disney princesses. it was love at first sight for em. but then, THEN, em opened her second gift. a purple tinkerbell nightgown (!). em was so excited that she almost smiled. alas, britt left, and em was still a grump. for about 1 minute. that's how long it took em to strip and put on this:

thank you so much, brittany! not only for the gifts, but for loving our baby girl and taking such great care of her.

(since then, em has gotten almost all of the nightgowns at the disney store. oy! oh, and now she calls her other pjs, the ones with pants, boy pjs.)
