she said what?!

  • donnie is always telling emily, "you're so smart!" the other day, she responded with "cong qua!" i asked who taught her that and she said, "ba." it means so smart in vietnamese.
  • i told donnie that he needed to stop being so grumpy. emily heard and said, "daddy, you grumpy? like ong?" lol. his name isn't grumpy for nothing!
  • aaron no like juice. it's not his favorite. (except he does like it, and it is his fave)
  • em: i silly. aaron is crazy. auntie tina taught me that.
  • while waiving her pointer finger at him: never, never leave me again, daddy. that not nice.
  • tia is at aaron's house. tia means auntie in spanish.
  • when dancing, she says, go emily, go emily, or go mommy, go mommy. she also knows how to "raise the roof."
  • she calls aaron "aaron bryce" and dylan "dylan thomas," even though dylan insists his name is justin timberlake superhero.
  • her affirmative answer sometimes? yes, sir (sounds more like she's been watching roots, yessuh). and she says it to me.
  • i miss daddy in the airplane. he be back with me soon?
  • she asked granny and grumpy if they would buy her a carseat for their car so that she could go eat lunch with them. (cute, but no way).
  • it's okay, tanner. i asked her why she told him that, and she said he was crying. (i had run upstairs for something and heard her talking to him on my way back down. tanner was at the bottom of the stairs. wooden stairs and too much hair on a little dog means that he is always slipping and can never go up on his own).
  • d: em, don't do that again. em: am i in time out?
  • she stood up in the bath, and i told her to sit down or else she'd fall. and she said, "like humpty dumpty?" uh, i didn't even know she knew that.
  • everything is "like (something)" or "not (something)." e.g., "that is green like my chee choo" or "white like tanner." or, "this is cold, not hot?"

and last but certainly not least:

  • me: em, did you poop? em: no, i just have a dingleberry in there.
