road trip

on saturday, we headed down to pearland to go to ava's birthday party. we took a detour to league city to visit em's cousins first. emily was so happy to see shaylea, emma, and taylor. even though she rarely sees them, she was excited and ran off to play with them immediately. usually she takes quite a while to warm up to people, so i was pleasantly surprised. they really are so sweet to her.

before leaving on our road trip that really wasn't a road trip. d got em dressed while i was getting my hair cut. cute, huh?!

em loved the big jump, jump, jump! her cousins were so sweet and checked on her each time she fell. she never cried. "she's pretty tough!" they said.

how stinking cute!

she really didn't feel like posing for pictures, but when emma asked her if she wanted to sit in her lap, emily didn't hesitate. they were just too cute for words. emily loves copying the big kids, even if that means laying on her belly to look at bugs. eww. (no pics of that, though. i was too busy telling em not to touch them!).

"geah-mu-dah put me in the swing. and the girls swing with me, too."

unfortunately, i didn't get any pictures from ava's party. it was at the park, and i was too freaking hot to take pictures!
