daddy went to london to see the duckies

i have no idea why she thought there were duckies in london. (we think maybe there are duckies on one of her videos where they sing london bridge). but imagine our surprise when d arrived at his office in london and saw duckies on the pond!
a picture of the duckies

we had a great time at home, but missed daddy a lot. she asked about him first thing in the morning, throughout the day, and before she went to bed. sometimes, when she was being really serious, she'd say, "mommy. where's my daddy? is my daddy coming home soon?" she would make up stories about what he was doing in london. usually he was working or holding his camera to take a picture of the duckies. but as of late, he was busy buying her 2 babies. and candy.

perhaps em's favorite picture that daddy sent to her- the london bridge! she sang and danced for minutes after she saw this pic.

this morning, when she asked me (like she asks everyday) "where we going today?," i looked at her and smiled. i figured she'd be thrilled when i said she got to go to school. but before i could get it out, she yelled, "we're going to pick up daddy!!!" she told tanner about 5 times before we left that "our daddy will be home today!" and it was the first thing she told her teachers when she got to school, too. oh, my heart...

starbucks with mommy. it was so funny because this is the first time i've taken her to this starbucks. it's the one she goes to with daddy twice a week. as soon as we walked in, everyone knew her. they knew what her "usual" was and everything. the guy at the counter even asked her, "is that your mommy?" lol. they only know d there. and i think they like him. a lot. it's the starbucks in montrose, if you know what i mean.

here are a couple of pics we took while daddy was away.

chocolate ice cream with memes

back for more (mommy is a total sucker)
here's em talking to her daddy on the phone. we had woken him up, which is why he sounds so out of it. she usually gets a mint or a piece of candy when i get home from work. but since daddy was gone and a nice vendor dropped off a treat bag for me, she got to have a yot of memes. you can see she's a bit distracted :o).
