Baby Em: Almost 2!

Just 1 more month until we have a 2 year old. Unbelieveable.

Three words will crack her up, I'm talking deep belly laughs: ewww (which she says like "youuuu"), ah nuts, and yucko! Whenever she sees food being mixed/prepared, she'll say ewww! We watch a lot of Food Network around here :o).
She is obsessed with happy faces and needs one on her hand at all times, even after baths. Then she has to draw one on each of our hands. We are not allowed to wash them off either. Because she is so obsessed with happy faces, she needs pens everytime she sees them. Even at the checkout counter.
"Oh nooo" is one of the cutest things to come out of her mouth. She says it in the sweetest voice. The littlest things to me seem so big to her, like if she spills her pretzels or if she thinks Bolt is lost (in the movie) or if Tanner leaves crumbs on the floor. "Oh nooo!"
She can be so serious sometimes. She'll raise her eyebrows and talk in this funny, sort of deep voice. She'll tell me things like "Mommy, I hear fire outside." Or, "Mommy, this a sursul, this a quare, this a nene, this wum."
She goes to Starbucks everyday before school to eat and drink mook. She even asks to go to "Tarbucks" on the weekends. And Mommy's toffee (coffee)? She always wants a sip. Don't worry, it's decaf and she gets all of about a 1/2 teaspoon.
Her favorite DVDs right now are: ABC's (which she used to call ah-c's), Bolt ("Oh nooo! Momma Bolt," for Bolt's momma), Poe (Kung Fu Panda), and Barney, of course.
She knows about Santa Claus and gets so excited anytime she sees him. She told me she hopes Santa brings her not one, but two babies. She loves reading her Christmas books before bed.
Bedtime. Oh man. It's always "night night, Mommy's room" and she is spending less and less time in her crib each night. Meltdowns in the middle of the night because she's in her own room occur frequently.
She's getting better with her numbers and ABCs, though she still refuses to recite them all on her own.
Emily pulls out her stool and climbs up so she can see what I'm doing in the kitchen. She'll say, "Mommy, that's really hot" if I'm by the microwave (b/c that's how we cook around here), stove, or oven.
She says things that we've never taught her. We were at Target and she said, "Mommy, I need a bicycle." Other things she'll tell me are, "Oh nooo, Mommy, it's not working." Or, "Oh nooo, it's broken. Mommy fix it."
She tells Tanner to "be nice" when he growls.
I'm afraid her favorite color is purple. I found the one purple outfit she had in her overstuffed closet the other day and pulled it out. When she saw what i was holding, she smiled so big and said, "Puhpul!!!" It made me feel bad for not letting her wear the color more often. Almost. It was like you gave the child something so special.
I can get other color bows on her head now, but sometimes I trick her and show her a purple bow. But really I'm putting in a different one. Oops.
Last week, Em's ba (or Granny) was out all day. When she came home, she told Em she was sorry she had been gone so long. Em said, "Ba, not nice" and waved her away. Lol.
Just remembered some other things: I'm still "momma" when Em is upset.
She says "really hot, Mommy" when she sees steam.
"Mommy sit here by me" is what she often tells me when we are in the car. So I have to climb to the back to sit next to her.
She copies Daddy with her sunglasses, which are no longer sahsah but gasses, and always needs to wear them when she drives her car. Then she'll tuck them in the front of her shirt or put them on top of her head.
She is able to pronounce words better. Hauntie Eh-na and Hauntie Tina are among those words. She also says Air-yon sometimes, instead of Ya-ya. And Tanner is now Tannah, not Tahtoe anymore. Sometimes he's still Bobos, though. And Barney is now Bahney, not Baba.
She doesn't like when people drive off without her. If her grandparents or aunties drive off, she gets very upset. Same if the valet takes our car. We went to eat and as soon as we sat down, she said, "Come on Daddy. Go see Daddy's car." So D had to take her outside and search the parking lot until they found his car.
She uses "you" and "me" properly, but still has a probably with "I" and "my." "Nooo, MY hold my purse," or "MY do it!"
But, she does need my help still! "Mommy, hepen me," which is a combo of help and open. Or sometimes it's just "Mommy hep me." And because she asks so sweetly, I always help her. Even it it means getting to the candy stash.
She loves taking care of her baby dolls. Each morning, she runs to get a diaper and "yipes" to change her baby. She feeds the babies agua and mook, brushes their teeth, and rocks them to sleep, blanket and all. Such a girl :o)

At Tarbucks before school today. It is pjs and fluffy slippers day at school. The kids will get to have milk and cookies as they listen to the Polar Express.

Practicing for her Christmas pageant at school. She's showing us her "pee pees tree." (Look at her sweet face. She has a nasty cold and her nose, upper lip, and even her cheeks are raw).
