- She loves animals and can identify more animals in books than I can even think of right now. She isn't speaking very much, but she knows the sounds for monkey, cow, lion, and elephant (everyone's favorite).
- She recognizes way too many things in her books. Usually you just have to tell her what it is once or twice and she's got it down.
- The only words she will repeat on command are dog, da, and Ba (that is Granny in Vietnamese).
- She has learned a few new words, "glasses" being my favorite, but only because she leaves off the "gl" sound. It is so funny. She loves glasses and prefers to wear them around her neck/under her chin, instead of on her face.
- She loves to play outside. Her favorite activity is "sit"ting in her car or the wagon and going for rides outside.
- If you ask her "where is Emily?", she points to herself. I don't know if anyone even taught her that.
- Some new words she says are cheese, sit, glasses, fish, chicks, bath (sounds like "ba"), and nooooooooooo (which she has only said once, and it was to Tanner).
- Each morning, Emily runs over to sit in my lap while I get ready. She likes to play with my make-up and will pretend to moisturize her face (and mine!), put on lipstick, apply powder with a brush, and curl her eyelashes. This is my favorite part of each morning. (So I wrote this post Friday, before the whole this-could-be-the-worst-moment-of-my-life incident. Sadly, Friday morning was the last morning she would sit in my lap in front of that big mirror and get ready with me).
