lately she's been wanting me to braid her hair. i think she likes to have crazy hair at the end of the day. (btw, how messy is my counter? gross)

we had our first parent/teacher conference of the year a couple of weeks ago. no surprise, her teachers "luuhhhhvvvve" her. i really enjoyed getting to see some of her art work and read her stories.

if i were computer savy, i'd put arrows on this pic to point out em's farm animals. this is month's theme is farming. super cute. especially when em comes home to tell me she tried sweet corn and she "really liked it." or when she asked me if i knew that "fawhmahs cut the hair off of sheep and use the wool to make stuff that's really soft."

dean is 5 months old now. how flipping cute is he?! emily is in love with this (not so) little guy. so am i.

this is costume 1 of 3. they didn't have her size but she insisted on it, so i had to add shorts underneath the dress. still cute, even if there's a creepy pink wig meant for 3 year olds included.

we went to a tailgating trunk or treat event put on by the ymca and em got to ride a camel, lol. (on a side note, we likely won't be returning to this. we've started noticing that when there is no admissions charge, you get a lot of um riff raff who attend. i'm not sure if a single "child" said "trick or treat" or "thank you" to me the entire night. i hate when parents don't enforce manners).

dean came out, too. his costume was simply, "i'm cute." very few can pull this off.

look how big aaron has gotten! he's doing a football pose for me. we can even pretend the bandage on his hand is part of his football uniform. poor guy had an accident with a moving treadmill. still makes me shiver thinking about it.

our babies, all grown up. this picture makes me laugh because (1) it's sort of a mess, (2) em's tights are all goofy, and (3) it looks like she has some sort of piglet ears on her head.

later that weekend, we attended aunt monkey's halloween party. em insisted on being hello kitty so she could match aunt monkey.

in our pjs, about to head home.

the grown ups. you can't see them, but i have on a cheetahlicious headband with ears and a tail. that's as dressed up as i get.

i just love this picture. em was sharing her snack (string cheese) with tanner.
just a silly video for you guys :).
