better than nothing

sorry for the radio silence lately.  i got a little behind, and then a little more behind, and then the thought of catching up just made me tired.  now i am so behind that i'm pretty sure i can't even remember remote details about what all that has happened in the last few months (i think i left off at the end of july.  eeks!).  sooo, since it'll obviously take me close to forever to upload, edit, and post everything, i thought i'd just post a few pictures that i had on my phone from the last few weeks.

i was lucky enough to pick up some missoni swag while we were in florida last month.  correction- em was lucky.  this is my nightgown.  that i have not gotten to wear.  because my 3 year old has decided it's hers. 

10.6.11  this pic is for aunt monkey and uncle allangator.  em was a coast guard cutie for her class' transportation parade.  em's class represented water transporation.

10.6.11 em insisted on riding the bull at the greek festival.  she said would NOT be scared.  she wasn't.  i even got a pic of her with one arm in the air.  i'll try to remember to post that later.

*speaking of the greek fest, it's held on AOS's campus.  that's where her cousin goes to school and where em has been randomly telling me that she wants to go next year.  so looks like we may be doing the interviews all over again.  it is a sweet, sweet school.  and her cousin is there.  so i really have no objections.  except i really do love where she is now.  funny how a 3 year old is going to get me to change my mind (about where she'll go to school and be brilliant).

10.8.11  em has been to the state fair 3 times now.  we had a lot of mommy-daughter time together since d was watching the game.

fletcher's actually kinda disappointed me this weekend.  i mean, i didn't even finish one corny dog.  usually i have 2 throughout the day.  (we won't even talk about the game disappointing me).  but this?  omg.  was sooo good.  (and no, these aren't both mine).  how in the world does dallas get 10 of these before houston even gets 1?  suckage.

em's "cousins."  they are so sweet.  reesey is 6 and harper is 3 1/2 (just 6 weeks younger than em).  they will be great friends. 

we also saw our friends alex and jonah.  em has not stopped talking about the fashion shows they put on for us this weekend.  sadly, no pictures of that.

one last picture of these best friends.  thank you for the adorable nightgown!  we didn't get to dallas until after 10 pm.  so you'd think emily would be tired.  instead, she stayed up until past 11:30.  i think she was too excited about her first sleepover.  we went to check on her and found her wide awake, even after both of her friends were fast asleep.
