okay, not really. it was called a "parent demonstration" and was held during her normal class time. the only difference between class and the demonstration was that parents got to be in the room with the kids. and they got to wear fairy crowns. and curtsy and bow, which may have been my favorite part.
she was ecstatic to have aaron there! (dylan came, too, but was a little late so he didn't get the tour of the "studio")

emily was so, so proud that her cousins came to watch her. when auntie walked in (late), em yelled, "auntie! auntie! i already danced!" except for she didn't. her solo was still to come :)
here is her solo. they took turns "galloping" to the hoop before leaping inside and twirling. i'd call her twinkle toes but light on her feet is something she is not, lol. something else she gets from her ba. (for someone who only weighs 80 lbs, ba sure does sound like an elephant when she walks)

at the end, all the girls stood for a bow and said, "thank you verrrry much." i don't know how much cuter they could have been.

thank you, miss kendall, for a wonderful first year! while we will still see her this summer, we will miss her and claire's school of dance next year. emily will be taking classes at her school starting fall. i can't wait!
