dallas blooms at the arboretum- spring break part 1

we made last minute spring break plans this year and headed to dallas and fort worth. it was one of our favorite dallas trips to date as we had no real plans and no place to be. in other words, we went to relax. this was our first visit to the arboretum, and i cannot tell you how much i loved it there. it was gorgeous and when i first walked in, the scent of the flowers took me back to our honeymoon in hawaii. also, what girl doesn't love flowers?!

em cried when i told her she could not pick one of these for me. by the time we got there, we had a little grumpy girl.

but only until she saw the princess castles! this was ariel's castle.

these girls have not seen each other in probably 6 months, but it was like no time had passed. i love that.

there was a bride there getting pictures made. em was convinced she was "beauty" (aka belle) and was sooo excited. she told me, "i want to see her face." em wanted to follow her everywhere and did not understand why she could not go to her wedding. after we left, em told us she was sad that beauty did not stop to hug her and take a picture with her. em is scared of "stuffed animals that are real" but not of "real princesses."

my mom always told me i was the princess from this story (princess and the pea) :)

how much do you love how her headband/tiara does not match. at all. battles are getting harder and harder for me to win these days :(

i loved this little secret garden.

the boys, jeremy especially, were thrilled that we were at the arboretum instead of watching march madness. not.
