baby embrey!- spring break part 3

the second half of our spring break trip was spent in fort worth with aunt jenni and baby embrey (now 3 months). we did a bunch of catching up and loving on sweet babies, and i loved every second of it. em, for once, was the big girl and had little 18 (?) month mia following her around. so cute to see the roles reversed for once. usually it is emily following the big kids around and wanting to do everything they do. this time, em was helping to feed embrey and show her and mia cool, big girl things. she was also a great help- she reported each time she heard a crying baby, supervised diaper changes, led playtime, and made sure embrey always had her paci. so, so cute. thank you jenni and cade for having us over. we miss you already and cannot wait to do it again!

i'm dying over how em's hand is on embrey. so cute. note the tutu dress. emily changed into it as soon as we got to jenni's.

i got several big smiles from embrey. they made my day!

and i got some from em, too!

this is mia, embrey's cousin. she is half vietnamese, like em, and so cute. i have seen many pictures of mia and was excited to finally meet her. i thought she would remind me so much of em as a baby, but she doesn't. oddly, she reminds me more of myself as a baby rather than em as a baby. (not that i'm saying i was as cute as she is, ha!)
