Baby Em: our christmas star

12 gifts. that was what the kdo kids presented during their annual christmas play. em's classmates were ornaments.

here comes aaron!

and the rest of ms. phyllis (above) and ms. marissa's class. but where is em? i was starting to get a little upset since all the songs that she had been practicing at home were already done with and she had yet to make an appearance.

all through the play, aaron would stand up and squeal, "mommy!" or "daddy!" it was hilarious.

here comes emily! she was one of the three wisemen. and the only one wearing purple, of course. the other two wore blue.

she did such a good job!

she beat her "drum" in perfect rhythm.

then presented the gift of gold for all to see.

she did so well with all the choreography. i was so proud, and could not stop laughing. dylan came to watch, too, and em was happy he was there. em and aaron's cheering section also consisted of ong, ba, hg, hg's daddy (i.e. aaron's grandpa), grandmother, auntie phi, dylan, and of course me, d, auntie elna, and uncle todd. later that day, when i asked em if she saw us in the audience, she said, "uh huh. dylan was smiling the whole time!" he was. but what about me? "um, you were...you were laughing!"
