big girl bed!

em got her (temporary) big girl bed this weekend. she was so excited. her bedding was ordered a couple of weeks ago; i'm just waiting for it to arrive. she's been telling everyone she got a purple big girl bed. i found some bedding that had purple, green, pink, and yellow in it. i am hoping i don't absolutely hate it when it gets here. either way, i'm pretty sure em will be disappointed because she told me this morning that her purple tinkerbell bed was in the mail.

here is my precious girl on her first night in her big girl bed. pay no attention that some of those pillows have no cases...they are on their way. she is also missing a headboard, which i am having refinished. so basically she has nothing but a mattress. i blame donnie, of course. he has been so eager to get her big girl bed in her room. she loves it, so looks like i suck for not giving it to her sooner. i just wanted everything to be perfect!

and her hand? it was like that for hours. (sorry about the picture quality. not only is it dark in her room, but i've been using my phone for all of my pictures lately. it's just so convenient).
she woke up so happy this morning and wanted to play in her bed until it was time to get dressed. she picked her outfit out this morning. "mommy, can i wear my new bevo shirt with the sparklies on it? the one you got me from work the other day?" then she had a minor meltdown because she wanted to wear her "big pants." we had no idea what that meant. apparently (i use this word a lot because it is so fitting for em), she was talking about her long jeans (as opposed to her jean shorts or capri jeans). the bow was all her- "bebo!" and the shoes? let's say that she was originally wearing her dress "flower power" shoes and we somehow convinced her to wear her black gladiator sandals. anyway, this picture is not great, but i still think she looks so cute.
