conversations with a 28 month old

(walking to the car after school)

em: can i have my yohyee pop now? i want a purple one.
me: hmm, i don't have purple. how about orange?
em: okay. i need 2 orange ones. one for me and one for aaron.
me: (giving them both to her). okay, but you need to share with aaron.
em: i will hold this one for aaron.
(now in the car)
em: mommy, this one is aaron's and this one is mine. here. open aaron's for me.
me: you want me to open aaron's, not yours?
em: yes, i will hold it for him.
me: (opening one of the lollipops and handing it back to her). here you go.
em: that's aarons? okay, i hold it for him.
me: (backing out of the parking spot)
em: i just try it.

as if she's making sure he'll like it. lol.

and because posts are better when there are pictures, here are a few from her morning date with daddy.

i'm telling myself that isn't milk dripping down her face. because daddy would never not wipe her face.

ok these pictures are REALLY cute.

thank you for not referring to her as "her auntie's niece" - which is obvious she is, but you know what I mean.
